A decline in global oxygen is coming fast.

This new report in Scientific American is deeply disturbing. Researchers at Canada’s Dalhousie University say the global population of phytoplankton has fallen about 40 percent since 1950 due to the arming of the oceans.

Phytoplankton is the base of the food chain and produces 50% of the world’s oxygen. If we lose the phytoplankton and 50% of our oxygen supply in the next 20 years what’s that going to do…just imagine the effect of losing our oxygen supply never mind the death of the oceans, oh and yes…lets continue to burn the Amazon forests and log off the rest of the planet while we’re at it.
