Asset (Contract) Tracking

I recently have signed on as the Director of Strategic Development at a GIS company here in Victoria because their new product is so cool and so relevant to the NGO sector.
Clover Point Cartographics (CP) are pioneers in the Geo-spatial information systems business. I.e, they make maps, lots of maps, smart maps, big maps, complex maps, digital and paper; and can take the most complex data sets and make em look cool on a map. BUT over the last couple of years they’ve entered the world of applications development. And this is of course close to my heart, especially when there is a potential for an application to be of use to the NGO sector. I signed up with CP because the ATA Master Planning Tool has huge potential from a number of different angles.
Here’s a thought…what if you are an international NGO and you have projects all over the country or the world? Wouldn’t it be useful to have a tracking mechanism whereby you could monitor those projects visually on a web based map…and not just Google maps, but almost any mapping engine that was appropriate for you. You wouldn’t have to search through a database or an excel spread sheet to monitor your projects, but could simply see them on a map and see all the relevant data you wanted as well. Wouldn’t it be great if you could have each manager of the projects just upload their data via a secure web interface each day or week or month and you could consolidate the data by region or type or size. And do all of this on the web with the utmost security.

That’s essentially what Clover Point’s Master Planning Tool is all about. Making it easy, simple and visually appealing to managers to monitor their projects and /or their assets.
I am not going to list all the features and strategic advantages of this product but just let video give you an overview.
